Dinner @ Ginger

I had a pleasantly unexpected invite to go to Ginger Bistro on Great Victoria Street in Belfast for dinner yesterday evening.  Our reservation was for 6pm and while we were able to find parking a few streets away this restaurant is close to the city center and therefore accessible via Public Transport.

We arrived before 6pm and were shown straight to our table in the back room of the restaurant which had a more cosy feel than the modern bistro style of the front restaurant.  The servers were very attentive and immediately took our coats, poured us water and took our drinks order.

We ordered starters to share, The Squid and Dips was delightful and the Fried Salt and Cumin Chicken starter was full of flavour and just enough to tantalise our tastebuds.

We both had the Chicken Schnitzel with tomato and butter bean casserole which was delicious, dessert was Creme Brûlée with a raspberry compote and sticky toffee pudding with toffe sauce.

All in all it was a lovely meal and very reasonably priced at £66.00 for 2 Three course dinners, a beer and a glass of wine.

Well worth a visit.
